1. Why does DoM solicit donations and what is done with the money?

We feel that it is extremely important to educate people about dictators, both past and present. We solicit donations and run advertisement links on this site in order to pay for the administrative costs of the site, which increase as traffic increases. We also do this in order to be able to run advertisements that will inform more people about the site- this money will never be used for profit or personal gain.

2. What would DoM do if monies received are more than site expenses?

In the event that this would happen, any surplus monies would be donated to charities at the discretion of the DoM team. Such charities would include organizations such as disaster relief funds like the Red Cross, non-politically motivated human rights groups, etc.

3. How much can I donate?

If you are interested in making a donation, we suggest a small token amount between $2 and $10- please do not send amounts of more than $50 in any case or contact us at dictatorofthemonth@att.net if you are interested in making a larger donation.
